THANKFULLY READING WEEKEND 2011

                         hosted by Jenn's Bookshelves

How was your Thanksgiving? Mine was awesome. I went to my cousin's house to have a yummy dinner with her, my aunt, and Grandma. Plus my two pups and my aunt and cousin each have a pup and they all wanted some of the delicious food they smelled. Of course they got their own plates loaded up. My  Scout refused to eat vegetables but Murphy pup cleaned his plate for him.

Some people (crazy if you ask me) are out shopping with millions of others during this madhouse of a shopping season. But I am staying in, eating leftovers and READING!!

Yesterday, I started DUST AND SHADOWS by Lyndsay Faye, a book about Sherlock Holmes trying to catch Jack the Ripper. I've only read a little bit but I like it so far. I also need to finish SLEEPING MURDER by Agatha Christie. Then I have a couple possible cozy mystery reads I might start. I really can't predict at this point because there are just so many awesome books that keep getting recommended. So one day at a time.

If you are on twitter, I will see you there #thankfulreading

Happy Reading!

Cozy mysteries sound ideal for the readathon. I'm finishing a book I started earlier this week and then I'll read a shopping-at-Christmas type book to get me in the mood.

Have a great read-a-thon!

I'm not reading anything cozy - not that I'm opposed to it and that sounds perfect for Thanksgiving reading. Instead, I'm reading hard-boiled crime fiction. I can't just stay away from the dark corners.

Your Thanksgiving sounds lovely! The leftovers are almost completely gone here but I do plan on making dressing one more time to go with the surplus of gravy left. I just started The Book of Lost Things by Michael Connolly for thankfully reading weekend. See you on twitter! ;-)
